Abstract

A 2×2 four port MIMO Cylindrical DRA (CDRA) for the first time is designed in the THz frequency range. The unique feature of this antenna is it provides dual band dual sense circular polarization response in the THz frequency region. The proposed antenna will generate Left Hand Circular Polarization (LHCP) at all the ports. Defected Ground Structures (DGS) are made to improve the isolation between the ports. This antenna generates higher order modes. To evaluate the performance of MIMO DRA, Envelope Correlation Coefficient (ECC) and Diversity Gain (DG) are computed. Results shows the proposed antenna is very good candidate for THz applications.
