Abstract

A three-wave mixing experiment is considered in which intermediate Raman (CARS) or two-photon (CTPS) resonances may occur. A strong static magnetic field is applied parallel to the direction of propagation of one of the incident beams. It is shown that a circular intensity difference (CID) of the emergent signal beam is to be expected.
