Abstract

This study aims to compare the effectiveness of the Circular Communication NetworkPattern Strategy (ccnp) and the Triangle Communication Network Pattern (tcnp) inreducing political conflicts in North Button Regency, Indonesia. Qualitative methods areused with data collection through observation, in-depth methods, documentation, andfocus group discussion. The results showed that the implementation of both strategiesthrough negotiations, intergroup meetings, and joint activities succeeded in reducingpolitical conflicts by decreasing demonstrations. In conclusion, this strategy provides aneffective alternative to the resolution of socio-political, economic, religious, tribal, andcultural conflicts in the region.
