Abstract
In this chapter, Guldmann and Huulgaard explain how companies in different settings can engage in circular business model innovation, and a model for three types of circular business model innovation, internal, hybrid and systemic, is developed based on research in eight Danish manufacturing companies. Internal circular business model innovation focuses on the development of circular business models for implementation within the company that do not interfere with the existing business model of the core business, hybrid circular business model innovation combines new circular services and product designs with the existing business model and systemic circular business model innovation improves existing circular business models through new or refined circular services and/or product designs.
