Abstract
This article provides a concise snapshot of research activities that are ongoing at the leading Indian institutes/universities in areas related to Circuits and Systems including the field of Signal and Image Processing. A survey was conducted where invitations were sent to 144 leading researchers requesting them to provide brief information about their research and international collaboration. Fifty four researchers participated by recording their response. The aim of the survey is to capture some of the relevant information of the researchers such as area/sub-area of their current research activities, collaborations, email addresses, along with their affiliations. A consent from them has been sought for sharing their contact information. These are summarized in Section A. In Section B, opportunities of international collaboration and exchange programs currently ongoing at Indian institutions are listed. Finally, Section C outlines the strengths, weaknesses and opportunities with regard to Indian institutions/universities.
