Abstract

Lin etal.1 demonstrate that acentric chromosome fragments generated within micronuclei are tethered by the CIP2A-TOPBP1 complex during mitosis, thus promoting clustered segregation of the fragments to a single daughter cell nucleus and facilitating re-ligation with limited chromosomal scattering and loss.
