Abstract

Errors of cineradiographic technique with special reference to studies on temporomandibular joint movements were investigated. The areas of concern were the repeatability of equipment alignment, magnification, errors within the image intensifier and cine-camera, errors within the analytical projector, and tracing errors. As an aid in determining the errors, a test device was used. The errors were shown to be of little significance. The radioal distortion within the image intensifier should, however, be taken into consideration during detailed analysis of structures depicted in the peripheral areas of the image intensification screen.
