Abstract
A new technique for cinematographic recording at 24 frames per see of variations in auroral forms is discussed. The equipment is a very sensitive image orthicon television system from whose monitor the image is photographed with a 16-mm movie camera. The technique permits changes in auroral forms to be studied which occur in as little as 1/24 sec.
