Abstract

A comparative survey of education and training in the field of Computer Integrated Manufacturing is given for one Central European country (Poland) and one Western European Country (France). Some curriculae aspects are considered, together with the contextual factors which may contribute in instilling the spirit and competences necessary to production technicians and engineers to face their responsabilities within integrated production systems.
