Abstract

The subject I have chosen for my address today is 'Church and Politics', a timely topic, you will agree. Today, more than ever before, South Africans are thinking about the relationship between the Church and politics. Although the witness of the Church in the political arena in our country is not new, I daresay that there has never been a time the churches' political responsibility has been so pronounced or elicited such response from the powers that be.
