Abstract
Bioactivity guided separation of Chukrasia velutina root methanolic extract led to the isolation of nine new isopimarane diterpenoids, chukranoids A–I (1–9). The absolute configuration was then assigned by comparing the experimental CD spectra and the calculated CD spectra. Chukranoids A–I (1–9) showed moderate antimalarial activity against Plasmodium falciparum 3D7 strain. It seems that conjugate system in the isopimarane skeleton may influence their antimalarial activity.Graphical abstract Supplementary InformationThe online version contains supplementary material available at 10.1007/s11418-022-01623-4.
