Abstract

ABSTRACT In patients with severe comorbidities or those who are critically ill, chronic or recurrent tracheoesophageal fistulas may be successfully closed using an Amplatzer device. We present the case of a chronic tracheoesophageal fistula causing dysphagia and aspiration pneumonia, which was successfully repaired using an Amplatzer device.
