Abstract

We have read with great interest the article by Guo and colleagues [1] concerning renal dysfunction (defined as the presence of chronic dialysis, renal transplantation or an estimated glomerular filtration rate, eGFR, <60mL/min/1.73m2 using the abbreviated Modification of Diet in Renal Disease) as a predictor of stroke and death in female patients with atrial fibrillation (AF).
