Abstract
Chronic invasive fungal sinusitis (CIFS) is a rare form of invasive fungal sinusitis which can cause significant morbidity and mortality. While it typically affects immunocompromised patients, there are reports in the literature which describe CIFS affecting immunocompetent patients. Here we describe a case of an immunocompetent patient who presented with a nasopharyngeal mass found to be CIFS, and we discuss how to avoid a possible delay in diagnosis of CIFS when evaluating atypical sinonasal lesions.
