Abstract

Chronic Illness in Children and Adults is described as a psychosocial approach to the assessment and care of people with chronic conditions and their families. It is based on Hymovich’s Contingency Model of Long-term Care - a complex model I found difficult to understand, though examples of its use with three patients are given, and a glossary.
