Abstract

A 60 year old man complained of abdominal pain, which started two days before admission. Twenty years previously he suffered from a wartime injury, when a grenade exploded close to him and caused him to fall to the ground from a significant height. Computed tomography angiography showed an isolated circular intimal disruption (A, yellow arrow), starting 13 mm above the aortic bifurcation and extended proximally for 35 mm (B, green arrow). The infrarenal aorta was reconstructed with a 14 mm Dacron interposition tube graft through a minilaparotomy. The post-operative course was uneventful and patient was discharged on the fifth post-operative day.Image 1
