Abstract

Preliminary studies in Lophopogon tridentatus (Roxb.) Hack. (Andropogoneae, Poaceae), disclose three different chromosome numbers in plants from three different localities: 2n = 8, 2n = 10, and 2n = 18. All localities are in India. Voucher specimens are deposited at the University of Mysore.
