Abstract

Objective To figure out the chromosmal difference between diffuse sclerosing variant of papillary thyroid carcinoma (DSV-PTC) and papillary thyroid carcinoma (PTC).Methods Array-comparative genomic hybridization (CGH) was applied to observe the chromosal aberration.Biopsies from DSV-PTC and PTC were harvested legaly and veryfied by pathological analysis.Results No copy number alteration (CNA) aberration was detected in the suspected cases.CNAs were detected in the confirmed thyroid carcinoma tissue with lq21.1-q44 amplification,9q21.11-q34.13 deletion and 22q11.21-q13.33 deletion.Conclusion Both rare DSV-PTC and typical PTC have the chromosal differentiation and echo the varation in pathological diagnosis.They have the different test results at the molecular level.
