Abstract

Abstract Chromium(VI) oxide-catalysed oxidations of alcohols and activated methylenes by aqueous tert -butyl hydroperoxide have been studied using benzotrifluoride as solvent. Comparisons with previous studies showed that this solvent is a valuable alternative to methylene chloride for such reactions. © 2000 Academie des sciences / Editions scientifiques et medicales Elsevier SAS
