Abstract

Abstract Papers impregnated with iron(III) hexamine have been used to chromatograph various phenols in ethanol, varying concentrations of ammonia and mixture of ethanol and ammonia. A large difference in RF values was taken as a criterian for satisfactory separation. Various analytically important qualitative separations on impregnated papers and quantitative separations on iron(III) hexamine columns have been developed.
