Abstract
Newly obtained derivatives of N-substituted amides of 3-(3-ethylthio-1,2,4-triazol-5-yl)propenoic acid were analyzed by reversed phase high performance liquid chromatography and thin layer chromatography using the RP-18 phase as stationary phase and the mixtures of methanol, water and ammonium buffer as mobile phase. Based on the relationships between the retention factors (logk and RM) and the concentration of organic modifier in water (ϕ), the lipophilicity chromatographic parameters (logkW and RMW) were obtained by the extrapolation method. Lipophilicity parameter was experimentally determined using seven standard solutes with known logPOW values, which were analyzed under the same chromatographic conditions as tested compounds. The calculated logP parameters using ALOGPs software were computed. In order to confirm the validity of these chromatographic methods, the relationships between the chromatographic lipophilicity parameters and calculated logP parameters were prepared.
