Abstract

After the examination of wedding practices in the previous chapter, in this chapter another assembling event is analyzed: Christmas celebration. Families — in particular families with minor children — attach great importance to this event, and the planning and performing often take up considerable time and attention. Nevertheless, Christmas celebration is a topic that is rarely addressed in family research.
