Abstract

From the ecclesiology of the Church as a mystery of communion, we will study the fundamental unity that exists «in the Beginning» between two great mysteries: Church and marriage. Secondly, we will present the way in which family communion, generated by conjugal charity, is the appropriate representation of the ecclesial communion. The coming together of these two key ideas –Church and family as a great mystery and as communion in charity– converges on the concept of Domestic Church. This gives us a new perspective for a rethinking of pastoral ministry structured on the principle of charity that constitutes, therefore, a family-oriented ministry.
