Abstract

A variety of choroidal and retinal problems can result from direct, or coup type, trauma to the globe and these include retinal necrosis and atrophy, retinal breaks with or without retinal detachment, retinal dialysis, macular hole formation, choroidal rupture, chorioretinal scarring and commotio retinae [ 1 Dieckert J.P. Chorioretinitis sclopetaria, however, is unique to high velocity missile injuries which graze, but do not perforate, the sclera. In this report, we describe two cases of chorioretinitis sclopetaria and review the literature.
