Abstract

The article describes a clinical picture of pregnancy and fertility of a patient with achorionangioma during pregnancy. Chorionangioma is a benign neoplasm that develops from the fetal capillaries that form part of the chorion villus. In most cases, the chorionangioma remains asymptomatic and can become an accidental finding when examining the afterbirth. Quite often this tumor is combined with polyhydramnios (ie, increased amount of amniotic fluid) and malformations in the fetus. The course of pregnancy in chorionangiomas depends primarily on the size of the tumor. The most common in chorionangiomas is polyhydramnios. The degree of expression of polyhydramnios depends on the size of the tumor. Polyhydramniosis is noted in 18-35% of patients with a large node.
