Abstract

Subject. This article discusses the issues of harmonization of regional and industry-specific approaches in regional strategic planning. Objectives. The article aims to conduct a critical analysis of the existing approaches that take into account the regional and industry-specific principle in spatial planning. Methods. For the study, I used the methods of analysis. Results. The article describes active and passive forms of interconnection between regional and industry-specific components. It determines that direct and indirect ways of regional governance get effectively combined with each other. Conclusions. When choosing the tools for implementing spatial development projects, it is advisable to take into account the impact of the regional and industry-specific factors on macroeconomic indicators of development.
