Abstract

1. The following characteristics have been chosen for assessing the quality of soft magnetic ferrite powders: chemical composition, specific surface (determined according to PSKh-2), apparent density, static and dynamic magnetic permeabilities, coercive force, and dielectric permeability. 2. The methods of determining these parameters are based on the use of standard equipment and can easily be adopted under the conditions prevailing in ferrite powder manufacturing plants. 3. The recommended group of characteristics has already been employed for assessing the quality of nickel-zinc ferrite powders intended for use as fillers for ferroelastic materials.
