Abstract

Long‐acting reversible contraceptives (LARCs) – intrauterine contraceptives and progestogen‐only implants and injections – are cost‐effective and reliable but uptake is still relatively low. This article summarises the main LARC products available in the UK and their advantages and disadvantages.
