Abstract

Grab sediment samples were taken from three rivers in Vietnam; these samples represented the industrial south (Saigon River), the Agent Orange sprayed area (Dong Nai River) and the non-industrial north (Red River). Samples were analyzed for the tetra- through octa- chloro-homologs of polychlorinated dibenzo-p-dioxins and furans (PCDD/F). The homologs were present in patterns and amounts previously seen for environmental samples.
