Abstract

Ten new chiral complexes of optical Schiff base ligand (NaHL) derived from d-camphor-β-sulfonic acid and o-aminophenol with La III, Pr III, Nd III; Sm III, Eu III, Gd III, Tb III, Dy III, Ho III and Er III have been synthesized and characterized by elemental analysis, molar conductance, XPS, fluorescence, IR, electronic spectra and magnetic susceptibility measurements and thermal (TG, DTA, DTG) methods. Their dominant conformers were determined from CD spectra and supported by 1H NMR data.
