Chirality Transformation in Metathesis Reactions of Salicylaldehyde/Pyridoxal‐Based Imines

Abstract

It is the first report that chiral imines, such as (S)-1 and (R)-2 or (R)-1 and (S)-2, were used to gnerate two pairs of racemates via an imine metathesis reaction, when the metathesis reaction reaches its equilibrium state, in the presence of catalytic amounts of the amine employed to synthesize the corresponding chiral imines. This work can afford a new enlightening for studying the chirality transformation processes in living systems.
