Abstract
The authors report a highly enantioselective variation of the Jacobsen-Katsuki epoxidation that employs a chiral phosphate counteranion and an achiral salen complex. For most substrates, enantioselectivities are comparable to those obtained with Jacobsen’s catalyst.
