Abstract

Abstract A lactam-type enantiomeric fluorescent labeling reagent was prepared from Rhodamine B. This reagent showed its absorption and emission maxima at λ 557 and 580 nm in an acetonitrile–acetic acid (9:1) mixed solution, respectively. Racemic Flurbiprofens reacted with this reagent to produce diastereomeric esters, which were separated by non-chiral high-performance liquid chromatography (HPLC).
