Abstract

In this work we study circular dichroism in well-known 2D hexagonal and square plasmonic arrays of elliptical nanohole etched in thin metallic layer on a glass substrate. CD arises in transmission and in absorption spectra in the same wavelength region of extraordinary optical transmission (EOT), indicating highly resonant light-metasurface coupling mechanisms at the interfaces of the metal. In order to maximize the CD, the geometrical parameters of the nanohole arrays are determined.
