Abstract

Circularly polarized luminescence (CPL) materials are a hot research in the field of chiral luminescent materials. Carbonized polymer dots (CPDs) have attracted more and more attention due to their tunable photoluminescence, high photostability, low cost and excellent biocompatibility. These outstanding properties of CPDs make them have bright prospects in the field of CPL. However, due to the aggregation-caused quenching of CPDs, it is difficult to simultaneously achieve solid state luminescence and CPL of solid CPDs itself. In this work, we have employed p-phenyldiacetonitrile and terephthalaldehyde/isophthalaldehyde as carbon source precursors, L-/D-tryptophan as chiral precursors to prepare chiral CPDs with different luminescence ,colors which can simultaneously achieve solid state luminescence and CPL of solid CPDs itself for the first time.
