Abstract

The left- and right-handed chiral Schwinger models are re-examined by a modified chiral bosonization. Contrary to the usual chiral bosonization, we impose the chiral constraint on the right-handed chiral Schwinger model and the antichiral constraint on the left-handed one. The resulting chiral bosonized theories are gauge-invariant and equivalent to one (free) chiral boson and one antichiral boson respectively.
