Abstract
We develop and test a conceptual model that examines the relationship between Chinese traditionality and subjective career success. In our model, Chinese traditionality is expected to influence employees’ perception of job insecurity and procedural justice, which in turn affect their job and career satisfaction. A data set collected from 591 Chinese employees was employed to test the hypotheses via structural equation modelling (SEM). The results supported the hypotheses that procedural justice and perceived job insecurity mediate the effect of Chinese traditionality on both job and career satisfaction of employees.
