Abstract

Discipline and national pride are among the most vital facets of human life ranging from an individual to the national level for national development. Every religion, culture and society has also highlighted the value of unity and discipline. History bears witness that all those individuals and nations who have adopted discipline in their life have risen to honour and success. Discipline implies to all spheres of human life around the globe. Normally it is considered that only European nations are disciplined as compared to the rest of the world and most of the Asian and African nations which are living in South Asia and Sub-Saharan Africa are considered to be ill-disciplined and uncivilised nations. However, it has been observed that discipline and national pride exhibited by Chinese nation are par excellence. Contrary to the impression of being an Asian nation Chinese have exhibited high standards of discipline, national pride; unity not only in China but also in other countries and continents including even Sub-Saharan Africa. The disciplined behaviour of Chinese people is a case study for all countries, particularly its neighbouring Asian countries which have been ruled by European Colonialism from 1769 to 1954 and are still being influenced.
