Abstract
Recently, digital citizenship has attracted increasing attention. Scholars have tended to explore the concept of digital citizenship from technology, political and pedagogical perspectives and expound its characteristics. In China, the progress in modern civil society has promoted the development of digital citizenship, bringing various influences. This chapter mainly discusses the concept and characteristics of digital citizenship, the rise of Chinese digital citizenship against the background of modern civil society and the internet’s development, and the impact of digital citizenship on Chinese politics.
