Abstract

This chapter reviews the development of China’s higher education offerings in hospitality management. The chapter also covers China’s current circumstances, including concerns, related to higher education in hospitality management with an emphasis on the discipline’s scale, instructional staff, teaching and learning, and research. Lastly, it provides suggestions for teachers’ professional development and practices to address the needs of industry, teaching, and research.
