China's Machine-Building Industry Departments Strive to Produce Mining Equipment

Abstract

(NCNA April 29, 1973) The broad ranks of staff and workers of China's machine-building industry departments seriously implemented Chairman Mao's directive to"develop mines," strived to produce mining equipment, and continued to contribute to the development of mines. On the basis of overfulfilling the state plan last year, output of mining equipment in the first quarter of this year increased by 15 percent compared with the same period last year. The quality of many products was improved, and cost and consumption were lowered.
