Abstract
I will delineate some special features of the Chinese economy and discuss the general implications of these features for the rest of the world. I will also comment on China's economic prospects in terms of the major constraints it has to overcome in order to sustain its economic development. Finally, I'll concentrate on some trade and exchange-rate issues that are particularly relevant to Sino-US economic relations.
