Abstract

Control of horn flies, Haematobia irritans (L.), was obtained with 1.0% permethrin applied to cows in marking fluid by a bull equipped with a chin-ball or bull-point marker. The treatment provided horn fly control 2 days after use of the chin-ball was initiated and remained effective 3 weeks after the bull was removed from the herd.
