Abstract

In recent years, child psychologists, psychiatrists, and sociologists [1-10] from highly industrialized countries have repeatedly written about young people's fears of nuclear war, their sense of having no future, ' ' and their reluctance to get married and create a future generation. It seems ironical that children and adolescents are losing their hopes for the future at a time when the older generation lives longer and has more of a future than ever before.
