Abstract

Summary A study of children admitted to the Shriners Burns Unit in Galveston over a period between 1966 and 1977 was conducted to assess the effect of Federal standards regulating flammability of children's sleepwear. The data suggest that the standards have been successful in reducing burn injuries due to ignition of sleepwear in children.
