CHILDREN’S HEALTH AND LEISURE INSTITUTIONS: INCLUSIVE ASPECT

Abstract

The article analyses primary legislative and regulatory documents related to health improvement and recreation of children and juvenile, in particular the Law of Ukraine “On Health Improvement and Recreation of Children” (2008), The State Social Standard for Health Improvement and Recreation of Children (2009), The Standard Regulations on Children’s health and Recreation Institution (2009), The Concept of the State Social Program of Health Improvement and Recreation of Children until 2025 (2021), The National Strategy for the Creation of Barrier-Free Space in Ukraine until 2030 (2021).The necessity of introducing the principle of inclusivity into the field of health improvement and recreation of children in order to ensure equal opportunities and non-discrimination in obtaining services relating to health improvement and recreation of children is proved.According to requirements of extracurricular education, the educational environment of children’s health and recreation institutions is focused on creating conditions for the intellectual, spiritual and physical development of children; involvement in active communication and creativity; formation of social competencies; creating conditions for self-determination and self-realization. Inclusion within the children health-improvement system will allow organizing health improvement and recreation for disabled children in modern children's healthcare institutions at all levels where appropriate conditions for active recreation are created.The article summarizes the practical experience of Uman inclusive health institutions, in particular the Department of rehabilitation, health improvement and recreation of mixed type “Bug” of the Center for Social Services of the Department of Labour and Social Protection of the People of Uman City Council; the summer recreation camp of the sanatorium type “Mriya” of the Complex Rehabilitation Center for Disabled Children “Prolisok”; the Leisure Recreation Center for School-age Children “Barvograi” of the Center for Integrated Social Services of the Department of Labor and Social Protection of the People of Uman City Council.
