Abstract
Abstract : An attempt was made to replicate the Dahl and McCubbin (1974-1975) finding that the children of American prisoners of war repatriated from Vietnam scored below the California Test of Personality (CTP) norms on social and personal adjustment. Results indicated no significant differences between the RPW children and a matched control group on any of the CTP scales. Further analyses revealed that the control children were also below the CTP norms on social and personal adjustment. The meaningfulness of the original Dahl and McCubbin (1974-1975) finding was challenged on the basis that the 1953 normative data were obsolete. (Author)
