Abstract

It is known that childhood trauma (CT) is linked to altered brain activation and functional connectivity during task-based studies in schizophrenia (SZ). However, despite its relevance in SZ, it remains unknown what the association is between CT and functional connectivity of the default-mode network (DMN). We hypothesized that CT is related to greater deactivation of the DMN in patients versus controls than the illness effect alone.
