Abstract
The present study intended to focus on the issues and problems relating to child sexual abuse in India. Child sexual abuse or child molestation is a form of child abuse in which an adult or older adolescent uses a child for sexual stimulation. Child maltreatment in India is a pervasive problem that often results in immediate negative effects on children, followed by the potential for numerous problems throughout the life span. The perception of society on the aspects of the issue have also been studied.
