Abstract

The impact of sanitation facilities on academic environment and childhealth in Pakistan is a field of study that is often ignored. This researchprimarily attempts to provide an overview on the current sanitationscenario in different socioeconomically divided schools across threeurban cities of Punjab, Pakistan. The study used a triangulation of urbanethnography with phenomenological approach to gather informationthrough observations, interviews, student narratives and documentanalysis. The study, on one hand, highlighted the need of healthy safeschool environment initiatives run and monitored by the state across theglobe.
